Arg… the copy of entries from 2nd dec are gone sia, can’t find it anywhere.. so I am unable to recalled some of the things…
So I shall cut it short la… in front office now which is ok so far la… we get to help the staffs there but not really doing the whole thing because we aren’t very familiar with the full system yet…
It was rather eventful the past week because the human resource manager of the Gloria group came down and so there were 2 meetings with him. In addition, the principal of TP, Mr. Boo was down.. Yanni and I were chosen to pick Mr. Boo and friends up at Sheraton hotel and I got to sit the cleanest car in Suzhou. Haha. We gave him our feedback for the OSIP and all was okie la.
Headed out of Suzhou to 嘉兴 on our off day without Felix, the bus journey was ard 90mins and we met JoJo the intern in the hotel there. She brought us ard the place whereby we checked in into the hotel and out we went shopping and I ended up buying a handphone costing 750rmb. We even went to their university which was very spacious and cold and we even made use of their gym and bball court there. The second day was spent at 西湖, whereby we had our own bbq there and it was the 1st bbq that I didn’t sweat and we don’t even have to clean the place up. We played the so called paddle boat which was motor operated, bumper car and this thing which is called 水上漂 I guess. It’s this thing that is filled with air and placed on the water whereby the ppl have to keep “running”. I supposed u shld know what I am talking about la, it was damn tiring but fun. I think we look like hamsters in it la.
I forget to mention that I headed out to the club with Yanni, Wesley and 余丹 on one of the Fridays. I didn’t really dance just went out to the dance floor for awhile and the rest of the time I sat there looking at the ppl dance, whereby I drank like 3 bottles of Breezer. Haha.
I finally cut my hair here in Suzhou whereby I remembered very clearly that I said I will never cut my hair here. It turns out that my hair looks exactly the same as it will in Singapore. It costs 35rmb to cut, wash, blow and massage. Haha. Cheap eh.
Within the half a month, I bought a pair pants and shoes whereby the shoes were from this shop called Hotwind and came all the way from Shanghai as the size I need was out of stock.
Just recently on a Sat, we had lunch with our front office operations manager 时磊史, the supervisor 庭宇, the captain周鹏 and the captain of the concierge陈瀑. The meal was great la, they were all nice and the food too was delicious.
It will be the last of practice for our Christmas carol singing next wk. I still can’t imagine myself singing and dancing in front of ppl in China during Christmas. Guess it will be very interesting and exciting for us la.
And ya, I am quite disappointed with the ppl around me. I shall name the person because I believe she won’t read it but even if she were to read it it doesn’t really matter to me la.
To Tian: I guess she is having fun here in Suzhou. She has a boyfriend and she just keeps denying to me. I am not jealous that she has one la, but come on la. Let’s be realistic here, u know the relationship WILL NOT last here and u even told the guy about it, so what is the use of getting together. Bring a girl, it’s always a disadvantage, and at the stage she is moving right now, trouble is bound to come la. She lied to me once, broke her promise, so what is next man? I am so surprised at the stage she is now with the guy, indeed I am. I am so disappointed in her, which is all I can say. I am both disappointed and angry with her. I dun like ppl to lie to me and to find out the truth myself and seeing it, it is really too much la. Sometimes I really wonder what she is saying is true or not.
Talking about guys now, here comes a problem with Seven, the guy that I mentioned before. I really think he is a psycho la. Let’s see, he has a dog, and guess what is the dog’s name? It is my name. Can u believe it, I feel damn insulted can. And to think he feeds his dog with dog meat and wonder why isn’t the dog eating it. Arg! All this info came from Wesley la. he still sends me sms saying those things which I feel like smashing my handphone on the floor. Wesley says he is quitting his job as a security guard here to go to Singapore. Haha. I wonder if it is true though which still u never know. Let’s hope he doesn’t bother me when he is not working anymore man. He really feels like a psycho to me la.

16/11 (Fri)
Working as usual whereby I nearly cried at work because there was a cake order by this guest who drop by @ 4pm to collect it. So when I went to the kitchen there was a problem, there wasn’t any words written on it and the chefs who were in charge of the cake weren’t there. The other chef when to look for them and indeed they forget about the name so he needed time to write the words. The customer wasn’t happy as he waited for quite some time, despite much explanation to him there wasn’t any help. Calls started to come and I had to explain numerous times and the fiercest one came from this lady who is somehow related to the guy that collected the cake. There wasn’t any 领班in the café and it was only 孟红旗and I. Seeing that I was about to break down he quickly called the lazy 领班up and even 卞晨晨my supervisor came up to settle the problem. Dam it man, I really cried la, with no one to help me, luckily 孟红旗 was working with me.
Had supper with Ying Xia and Jojo, the 嘉兴interns together with Felix, Tian and 孟红旗 whereby we ordered quite a lot of 烧烤 and I wore 3 layers of clothes can!
17/11 (Sat)
It’s Saturday and we have to work!!!!
But before working we had lunch at the Sampan restaurant in Gloria with the 集团’s financial manager who is a Singaporean. We had dim sum cum some other dishes which I can say is nice and filling. We had a quick 便装 from our casual wear to work attire within 15 minutes and off we were to work.
A wedding is ongoing in the atrium café whereby we started to shift tables and chairs, laying the table settings and so to make it a Chinese style wedding dinner. I think its fun coz it’s my first time doing it la and I was assigned to be a wait staff instead of a hostess! Ya! It was a busy night as each of us has to take care of 3 tables each. Placing dishes, clearing dishes, changing plates, getting what the guests want……… I quite enjoy it though it was tiring. Tearing down the whole thing was even more interesting as I felt a sense of satisfaction. Looking at the changes we made within 1 hour plus, transforming for Chinese style to the original café style.
My parents dropped by at Gloria and sat in the lobby lounge to wait for me to knock off. I got a cupboard full of biscuits, my Converse shoes, facial wash, nutella, foundation, sleep clothes, pads…….. I can really say its a lot la. Haha.
Headed out with them after work for supper at Mac and off I went to their to stay for the night.
18/11 (Sun)
Woke up at 0530 had breakfast in the hotel which was damn cold la. Cab down to the train station nearly late, had Mister Donut for break and off we go to 七浦街. ShoppingX3. Bought jackets for my parents, socks, a mini wallet for my ah ma and another jacket for myself. Most importantly, we had 泡冰 (maybe it applies to Felix only). Headed down to 御苑 to slack at Starbucks, and we had the intention to eat 小笼包, but we were just too full. Tian & I even sneaked out to buy Felix’s helmet la as his birthday gift la. Left the place at around close to 6pm, wanted to go to Ian’s place but I realized I didn’t have the time as I went straight to the train station instead.
Traveling alone is relaxing and also intimidating. Its relaxing in a way that I don’t have to wait for anyone and intimidating in a way that there is no one to look out for me.
It was freaking cold when I reached Suzhou till the extent that my teeth were chattering la. Waited quite long for the taxi coz the queue was long.
19/11 (Mon)
Off day but we had to attend this atrium café 技能大赛 in the afternoon. It started at 1330 and ended at around 5plus. As I was back in th bunk, I realised that my handphone was no where on the bed. Ya, it was stolen. I was certain because the phone was off. Damn it. The person stole only my phone and not my money and my bed is right in and above la. I was sad. I admit that I cried on the phone while talking to my parents. My phone isn’t even a yr old and it was a present from my dad for my birthday. And also, its my first time for my handphone to be stolen.
I reported it to the security but it seems useless because they can’t do anything about it and I don’t want them to go around checking ppl’s things. Ya, so my beloved Nokia 6300 is gone.
20/11 (Tues)
First day at work in the Sampan restaurant, 船餐厅, and most of the shifts are spilt which means I will be working from 1100 to 1430 and from 1700 to 2130. Was okie la, the people there isn’t as bad as I though they will be. I was at the dining area during the afternoon and in one of the 包厢 at night with another person. And I was tipped by this japanese lady who was very nice in fact their whole table were nice to be and they even took a picture with me beofre leaving.
Things just doesn’t seemed to rest after my handphone was stolen, my bunch of keys consisting of most importantly my luggage key was gone. Don’t ask mewhat is going on, even I don’t know what is going on. I think I am being targetted. That is all I say.
21/11 (Wed)
2nd day in Sampan was kind of boring coz I was at the hostess stand and it was damn cold. There was the 技能大赛their department and we had to be there.
The night was boring for like 2 hours coz there was no customers at all. And this person who is an intern that came later than us in the hotel was damn irritating can. Her name is 波拨 (bobo), can’t stand in, like to talk with a accent like Tian and treat us as though it is our first time working in the restaurant. Waaa!!! Think I can kill her of I were to work with her for a month or so.
22/11 (Thurs)
Off day. So fast sia, work 2 days off 2 days.
Woke up close to11am headed out for lunch with Tian bought some shampoo and “ko yeok” for my right leg which has been hurting for quite some time already.
Came back watch some shows, sleep and out we went for dinner.
That’s the routine for us, eat, sleep, go 网吧, watch show,
24/11 (Sat)
Wedding dinner in the chinese restaurant, was ok la. I love weddings, because time passes very fast.
My parents arrived in the afternoon today, checked in for tem and headed out for a quick lunch with them.
Almost the whole atrium café ppl headed out for supper tonight, but Tian didn’t join us. Felix was drunk, he was drunk even before we went out la. I didn’t drink much la, just a bottle or less.
25/11 (Sun)
Wedding again but this time round I was allocated in the 包厢for walk in guests. Was quite boring la and it was also the last day for us in the restaurant.
The Chinese restaurant is not as bad as what we think it was la. The 领班were all very nice and so were the staffs.
It was Felix’s birthday today. We celebrated for him out the bunk with a free atrium café cake, 泡泡茶, and donuts from Shanghai.
26/11 (Mon)
Back in the atrium café, a little not familiar but very fast back to the feeling le. Haha. Spilt shift for the day and it was rather boring coz there wasn’t much to do.
27/11 (Tues)
Off day doesn’t seemed to be like one la, having training for Chinese restaurant then meeting with all the other interns with the fnb manager.
Headed out to 观前街for dinner and walked around and all I can say is that it is cold.
28/11 (Wed)
Morning shift again at 6am and I woke up late AGAIN. Lucky 吴云wake me up at 545 la, if not I think after 6am I also not awake.
Headed for dinner with my parents again nothing much also la, just that I slept in their hotel room only la.
29/11 (Thurs)
Afternoon shift. Woke up early to send my parents off.
Nothing much happen I guess. Just that the christmas decorations are up in the hotel and Tian, 俞丹and I headed out for麻辣烫.
30/11 (Fri)
Spilt shift with Tian, headed out for Mac for lunch. Slept after that. Work again and out to 网吧f or my shows and out to 十全街for karaoke session. Quite a lot of ppl la, lets see, a total of 15 I guess. Was a bit tiring la. and now I am typing this at 0423!!

Off day. Headed out for lunch at this korean stall, not bad la.
Back to the bunk to sleep and out again with Tian and 俞丹 and her niece. Man, her niece was damn cute la. Went to her house for a while and back again. Supper in the hotel wasnt good so we went out for supper. Haha.
