I'll be going away next week.
I'll be going on a holiday!
I'll be going to Taiwan!!
I'm finally getting a break.
6 annual leave, 6 off days and 1 Gd Fri holiday.
Anyway, things aren't going right at home.
Ever since my uncle was told to move out of the house.
Ah Ma is upset.
She's not talking to my dad, my mum and my sister.
She's only talking to me.
She's upset with us for "chasing" my uncle out.
I had a talk with her because I can't see this going around at home.
She stopped cooking, she washes her own clothes and she refuses to eat the food my dad cook.
It hurts me so much.
When I talked to her, I cried.
I can't talk to her without crying. It's just can't be controlled.
She teared up too. It breaks my heart so bad because I told her off.
She said many things that shouldn't be said.
I have to take my mind away from what's happening, because everytime I think about it I just can't take it.
I just want everything to be like last time.
I want my Ah Ma to be happy, to talk to us, most importantly, to be a family.
I just want her back.
12:46 AM
I'm lazy.
Lazy to write anything here because there's really nothing much for me to say.
Good news.
I received a letter for promotion last week.
It didn't came with a huge surprise though. Rather, it's an expected one.
After working today, it made me realised if I could really last even till the end of this year.
Seriously, it's getting stressful, not because of the promotion, but because of the guests here.
A guest even told me today that he won't want to be in my position after looking at the situation we have in the hotel.
Come to my hotel this week and you will know. It's like a zoo or market, everyone queuing up, making a lot of noise.
No doubt working in this company has lots of opportunities for further progression because its so huge. But where are all the opportunities?
I did rather sit in the office than to face kiasu guests that goes 'i want high floor, pool view, early check in, late check out, non-smoking, connecting room'
They did be satisfied if I give them 2 of 6 requests.
And to be honestly, it depends on whether I WANT TO give you. If you have a 'kiam pak' face, I'm sorry, I'll only give you like 1 of your requests. But if you are like super nice, polite, then I can fulfill all your requests. I mean it.
Sometimes I dread work, especially this week where my schedule is like shit.
If you dread working, I believe thats a bad sign.
Maybe I should really look for other places after my bonus. Haha.
It's kind of disappointing when you hear your other peers earning much more, as compared to yourself.
I also convince myself that in this industry its like this. It's bo bian one.
Then I start to question, why this industry in the first place.
Then it boils down to many many what ifs........
I think if I were to resign, my manager would be super disappointed.
My sister and dad would be happy.
I might also be happy if I get a better guest and to not face irritating guests.
Oh wells, as fickle as I always am, walk one step, see one step.
To add on, I only had ONE meet up with my friends this year. (excluding the guys)
Or maybe since last November.
I think thats a really bad sign.
I have not been going out with my friends for so long.
I don't know what to say.
Maybe I'm emo tonight.
Maybe I have bottled up sooooo many things tooo long.
Maybe I need a break.
Oh wait, I'm taking a break in April.

I have seriously neglected this blog.
This will the last post I have for this year.
The reason for me not posting is because there's nothing interesting to blog about.
Other than work, that eats up 5 days of my week, the other 2 days will definitely be for Johnson.
I have passed the 1 year mark in my job.
Busy is the word to describe.
There were some unexpected things that happened not to be but to my colleague, which actually surprised quite a few people at work. Even myself.
My manager even had to talked to me personally and explain why did that happened.
But oh wells, I can't broad over it. All I can do is to look forward to next year. =)
Meetings with the guys have been very regular.
I believe I did attend most of the gatherings as much as I can. Haha.
Just had one Christmas gathering with them last night. And I did drank quite a bit and I lost in the game resulting to my first King's cup which was Baileys with 'kek-hue' plus amos cookies.
There will be more gatherings to come and I strongly believe this will be the strongest group of friends I have.
This year is also the 2nd year anniversary with Johnson.
We headed to 2 countries this year; Malaysia - Redang and Indonesia - Batam.
Next year we will headed to somewhere further. =)

Just had a chalet last night with the guys.
Been quite long since I been to a chalet and bbq.
Was at East Coast park,it was basically a very simple but not very clean place as there are cockroaches here and there.
I guess I saw like more than 3 of them, dead or alive.
I just love to sit in front of the pit and bbq the food.
Just eat and bbq at the same time.
We were probably the quietest around the area because we only had 10 person.
Also, kids nowadays bring their laptop and ps3 along so during 3/4 of the time there were like only 3 person outside bbq-ing and the rest inside the room playing games.
In addition, students are getting stressful from school, tutorials were also brought along for study group.
In conclusion, we had a chalet consisting of a study group, a gaming group and also a gambling den that plays bets on otah and 'hotlog'.
Anyway, my colleagues have the intention to buy present for my other colleague whose birthday is approaching. Since everyone is pooling money in why not?
Usually when you buy gifts as a form of group, you do collection after purchasing the item because you are unsure of the price.
This particular colleague said to collect money first which I think it's double job because if you collect then short, you must collect again. If excess, you must return. Double job right?
If you have been working for a least a year, would you have savings in your bank or atm card?
I was so surprised that my colleague don't even have $80 to buy a gift.
Not one but 2 of them.
Man, $80 dollars based on the income should not be a problem.
One has been working for a couple of years, the other even longer in her late thirties.
You spend every single cent of your salary?
How impressive. Make sure you don't go around spending, since you don't have the ability.
What unbelievable colleagues I have.

Johnson and I went for a short trip.
Just a 3d2n trip to Batam. Basically, it's a nua trip.
A trip away for work and just nua around doing nothing. Haha.
Left on Wednesday early morning and we were lucky to get a room when we reach the resort, which was Harris like 8plus 9 in the morning.
Probably it was due to the low peak season that we get to check-in early.
The highlight was definitely the massage.
S$17 for 1 hour for foot reflexology. Cheap eh.
We also had a 3hr spa inclusive in our package.
It's pure shiok-ness k.
Body scrub that makes the skin super smooth and massage that 'cracks' the body.
Money was spent mostly on food because we only head out to town once and there was nothing much. In fact, we didn't bought anything except having lunch.
The Boat

The view from our room

I have a Xiao Mei Mei (XMM) training under me.
I believe the term XMM is for those under 20 right guys?
By next week she will be going solo already.
And she's my second "trainee" already. My supervisor calls her my baby, which is true la.
I have to take care of her, guide her and all.
Comparing her to my first "trainee", my previous one is better, in terms of the mindset.
I believe if you have the mindset to work, as in work for a living, there shouldn't be much complains, even if you have I need not know.
It was rather difficult during my first week with her, but after that it was fine.
I'm going on leave next week.
7 days without work.
Seems quite short eh. But oh wells 7 days straight leh.
Johnson is on leave too. 7 days as well. =)
Oh, the new lift in my block is in operation!!
It stops at every level now. Haha.
8:53 PM
I've been driving the car around the longest last week ever since I got my license.
And during these few times, my dad is not in the car.
Driving from SGH back home, from home to RWS, from RWS to SGH, from SGH back home.
The reason being that daddy was admitted to the hospital.
But all's well now.
There's nothing much to say about the present.
Probably only I'm meeting my poly group this Friday.
Probably only I'm going away for a few days in September.
Probably.......
11:08 PM
Sick for a week.
Seems like I'm taking longer and longer to recover.
But anyway, that's not what I want to talk about today.
If you remember, I did have an entry about branded items.
It's common to see people carrying branded bags like LV, Gucci and all, especially the ladies.
I do carry these bags sometimes too.
But the point is, you buy the bag to carry it.
YOU carry it.
Even though it may be a gift from someone else, you should carry it on your own.
It's weird sometimes the thinking of these women.
You may slough your guts out to buy such bags but you don't carry it on your OWN.
So what's the point of buying such branded bags and yet you ask you spouse to carry it.
POINTLESS.
Instead of having the attention to the bag, the attention is now on the guy who is carrying the bag. -_-!
I believe the bag doesn't weigh like super heavy, but even it does you have no one to blame because the items in the bag are yours.
So just carry your own bag. Lazy bums.
10:31 PM
The long awaited meeting with the guys.
Met up at PS for dinner. It was supposedly to be a subway dinner as per the birthday boy choice. But Rong said that there isn't and we weren't to sure too. Haha.
Had Carl's Junior instead, and that's my second CJ in my life. The first was like in poly year 2.
The after dinner location was to a jamming studio located near Little India.
The studio to me is bigggggg. And it was very interesting to be because I had never been to one.
We had our own drummer, guitarist, bassist and singer. Cool hur.
Next up CMPB.
I bet you must be wondering what CMPB is. I was too and I think most of the guys don't know either. They only know ''chi-ku-teh".
CMPB = Contemporary Melting Pot and Bar.
Had drinks, watching re-play match, talking and bullying.
The evening that started at 7plus ended at around 3 in the morning.
Rong had flew to Australia and we don't know when will he be back.
1 less person to bully. =((((
We had full strength that night. =)
This year marks the 10th anniversary of friendship with Ben and Woon Han.
How time flies......
10:00 PM
Night shift night shift night shift.
Damn. I have 6 night shifts.
I'm half way through. ZZZzzzZZZ
Just a brief summary.
I watched Repo Man. It's quite good.
I bought a cup of Koi bubble tea to sample because of the high popularity.
And I bought it because there was no queue. Just 2 to 3 persons in front.
I suppose there is nothing much to go gaga over it. Haha.
Just that the pearls were very chewy.
I will only buy it the next time if there's no queue.
Ask me to wait in line for more than 15 minutes, no way.
I went clubbing on Wednesday after catching the Voyage De La Vie show.
Headed to St. James with my colleagues.
Stayed at The Boiler till close and headed over to Dragonfly.
It's my first time to St. James.
My colleague brought just to have a look at Powerhouse.
It was like OOOoooOOO.
The time was 3plus in the morning. And the number of people over there is crazy. It's so pack. Haha. Young people nowadays ar. Haha
Anyway, I'm finally meeting the guys this week for Rong's farewell.
So the next entry, I will have something else to talk other then work.
Ok Mr. Wah??
2:01 AM
I had a mind-blowing 2 weeks with so many things in my mind.
Decision that leads to consequences.
Decision that will bring me where I want to be.
Decision that will affect me.
Man, I was practically going crazy thinking about the pros and cons.
I seek for advice from my close friends, those I trusted.
Weighing this weighing that.
I've decided.
The decision was what Johnson told me even before I had to make the decision, but I guess I didn't heed his advice. Haha
The decision is to stay.
I'm not sure if it's the right one.
I guess it's still to early to be sure.
But I guess time will tell and I hope it pays off.
I always look back and wonder if the choices I've made were right.
So far so good.
Back to work again tomorrow and I really hate the month of June can.
Seriously, it's the most hated month on my list currently.
10:21 PM
I seriously need to sleep.
Have been dozing off tooooo many times.
Just 1 more hour before i knock off from work.
I just drove a buggy. Ohhhh. It's fun!!!! Hahaha.
6:12 AM
Yesterday was 'Treat Myself Day'.
In short TMD. Haha.
What a coincidence. TMD.
Because I bought Anderson's ice-cream for myself while waiting for Johnson.
Anyway, 2 more of my colleagues tendered their resignation.
And tomorrow is decision day.
I can't decide until I see the terms.
Oh well. I don't know.
10:08 PM
Met up with Anna on Wednesday.
Had dinner at Cuppage and I didn't know that there are quite a number of Japanese restaurants located there.
The food was good and the price was reasonable too.
Was with Johnson the whole day yesterday.
Too bad Serangoon's swimming pool was closed and we only realised it after we packed everything and made our way there. But it's ok, because I'm not swimming.
It's the weather that I dread. Damn hot can.
Headed back to his sis place and rest then out ago.
Caught Prince of Persia which was good.
And we saw Tay Ping Hui filming at Marina Square. Haha.
I was also the tourist of the day and Johnson was the tour guide.
We went to Helix Bridge and the Singapore Flyer.
And it was my first time to Singapore Flyer. Serious.
The closest is the car driving pass it.
But we didn't took the flyer, just walking around. Haha.
I dread work tomorrow.
In fact, I dread the month of June because it's the school holidays and the hotel is going to be super busy. Oh man.
Pray that I don't kill the guests.
2:56 PM
A guest scolded me stupid today.
Man, I was pissed off.
It's not my fault at all. People from the other areas gave her wrong information and she blame me.
No money to pay deposit, still scold me.
I was super patient with her until she said that.
Come to think about it, I should tell her that "Mdm, please don't scold me stupid. I have a degree. Do you?"
Haha. If I say that, I guess I would be dead.
But, we have human rights k.
Working for half a year, it enables us to rank the worse guest.
Simply base on interactions with guest, Indian guests like to check in super early like 0900hrs when check-in is at 1500hrs. And they always want free things.
Guest from Hong Kong are unreasonable. They want high floor, all rooms on the same level and check-in together. Crazy.
I'm getting rather tired nowadays.
Tired of the job.
Tired of non-stop work that I don't even have the time to drink water or go pee.
I'm working and looking for better opportunities.
I guess when a better opportunity comes, I will tender and say bye bye.
10:30 PM
